Yes, but to go through your whole life without ever enjoying the joys of linking? What's the purpose of living?

I, like many other webmasters out there, have a different policy. I link to a different website every night... sometimes, two or three of them at a time. I like to switch things up- sometimes I'll link from my site's front-end, out in front of everyone, and sometimes I'll keep things private and link from the back end.

But before you call me perverse- who among you haven't woke up in the morning, only to see on your computer screen the results of a link you wish you hadn't clicked on?

Click safe. Click smart. And if you have to click... click hard.

The best way to fight this is through abstinence and a "Just say NO" policy.

I've been telling my younger clients that if they want to experience the true joy of linking, they should wait until they're certain they want to stay linked to the other site forever. Anything short of that is a mockery of the sanctity of linking -- the cornerstone of online society.

And never ever link to a site outside your niche. It's disgusting.
